As a specialist provider of live in care for spinally injured people, we can provide you with a trained PA who can assist you to live your life your way.
Your PA can assist you with:Personal care, including bladder (not changing catheters) and bowel careGeneral household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, ironing, shoppingAll our PA’s are over 21 and drivers. Their driving ability is assessed by a driving instructor before commencing work. They are able to assist you to work, college, meetings, social outings, holidays etc.
All our PA's are:CRB and reference checkedEmployed and fully insured by us. We're responsible for their pay, tax and NIHave successfully passed our comprehensive 5 day induction training Supervised by our qualified nursing team and care managers
PA Training:
Our PA’s complete our 5 day induction course, which meets all the Skills for Care, common induction standards (2010 refreshed). Each year they undertake mandatory update training and have regular supervisions with their line manager. They have access, including out of office hours, to our nurse managers and care managers if they have any queries or concerns. They have an out of office hours contact number if there is an emergency situation.
In line with the Care Quality Commission CQC in England and the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Social Care, we encourage the ongoing development of our staff by offering them the opportunity to study for the Diploma in Health and Social Care, which has replaced the NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care qualification.
